  3. Incorporate Sweet Potato and Lentils: Introduce the peeled and chopped sweet potato along with the rinsed red lentils to the saucepan. Pour in 2 cups (500ml) of water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer, covering the saucepan.
  4. Simmer and Cook: Let the soup simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, or until both the lentils and vegetables are tender and cooked through.
  5. Puree the Soup: Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Use a stick blender to puree the contents of the saucepan until a smooth consistency is achieved.
