These are better for you than fudge and less dangerous than a drink-and- dial cocktail. When your heart needs mending, consider this recipe your one-bowl support group. It’s also great spooned over cold, creamy, comforting scoops of vanilla ice cream.
SERVES: 2
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup mixed berries
- 3 tablespoons port wine
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a small bowl, combine the berries, port wine, and sugar (if using), and toss to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, stirring a few times, until the berries have released their juices.
