INGREDIENTS:

  • Oil, for frying
  • 5 baking potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • Dash garlic powder

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F.
  2. Cut the potatoes into 16–18 equal-size wedges.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the egg and milk until well blended.
  4. In another large bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  5. Put some of the potato wedges in the milk and egg mixture, then coat them in the flour mixture until well coated.
  6. Fry the coated potato wedges in batches for 3 minutes, then remove them from the oil and allow them to sit for 1 minute.
  7. Return the partially fried potatoes to the oil and fry again for 5 minutes until golden and crispy. Ensure not to overcrowd the potatoes during frying.
