INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 whole cloves of garlic
  • 2 pounds red potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the whole cloves of garlic on a sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Wrap the garlic tightly in the foil and roast it in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes, or until the garlic cloves become soft. Once roasted, unwrap the garlic and let it cool until it is touchable.
  3. Wash and rinse the red potatoes. It is not necessary to peel the potatoes unless desired.
  4. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Boil the potatoes for about 20 minutes or until they are fork-tender. Drain the boiled potatoes in a colander.
  5. Peel the roasted garlic cloves. In a large bowl, combine the peeled garlic cloves, boiled potatoes, milk, heavy cream, butter, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes and garlic together until you reach your desired consistency. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated.
