INGREDIENTS: YIELD:1 QUART

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1½ pounds fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place the sugar and strawberries in a medium bowl and stir until the sugar dissolves. Cover and refrigerate until cool.
  2. Purée the strawberry mixture in a food processor or blender with the lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Add the mixture to an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for freezing
