- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 small minced clove garlic
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon chicken stock
- 1 cup half-and-half
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup cubed Velveeta cheese

- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 10 ounces cooked penne pasta
- 1 (6-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1/3 cup spicy black beans
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes, for garnish
