Pork Chops with Mustard Cream Sauce

YIELD: 1 serving

INGREDIENTS:

  • Salt or Vege-Sal
  • Pepper
  • 1 pork chop, 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard or Dijon mustard

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Season both sides of the pork chop with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat, and sauté the pork chop until browned on both sides and cooked through. Transfer the pork chop to a serving platter and keep warm.
  3. Add dry white wine to the skillet, scraping the brown bits off the pan. Stir in heavy cream and spicy brown or Dijon mustard, and cook for a minute or two. Pour the sauce over the pork chop and serve.

 

PER SERVING:

  • 2 grams of carbohydrates, a trace of fiber, and about 20 grams of protein.
