INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ stick margarine
  • 1 diced large onion
  • 1 diced large green bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound assorted pasta (wheels, shells, spirals, ziti)
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar meat-flavored spaghetti sauce
  • ½ pound browned hamburger
  • ½ pound browned Italian sausage
  • ½ pound thinly sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, melt the margarine over medium-high heat. Add the diced onions, green bell peppers, and garlic powder. Sauté for about 4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  4. In a separate saucepan, heat the spaghetti sauce and combine it with the browned hamburger and Italian sausage.
  5. Lightly grease a 13″ × 11″ casserole dish with cooking spray. Place half of the cooked pasta in the dish, followed by half of the sautéed vegetables, half of the pepperoni slices, and half of the sauce mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the casserole is heated through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
