This is a very easy version of pizza, and it is often served with anything grilled. It is usually folded and eaten with hands.

SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2/5 cup (100 g) tomato puree
  • 2 large liba or pita breads
  • 1 red onion
  • 4/5 cup (24 g) chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 teaspoons sumac salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Spread the tomato puree evenly over the surface of the breads.
  2. Peel and slice the red onion. In a bowl, mix the sliced onion with the chopped parsley, sumac, and salt until well combined.
  3. Sprinkle the onion and parsley mixture over the tomato puree-covered breads, ensuring an even distribution.
  4. Cut the prepared breads into pizza slices or desired shapes.
  5. The bread can be served as an accompaniment with grilled dishes. Alternatively, if you prefer a warm option, you can bake the pizzas briefly in the oven until the bread is heated through and the toppings are slightly melted.
