This is a very easy version of pizza, and it is often served with anything grilled. It is usually folded and eaten with hands.
SERVES: 4
INGREDIENTS:
- 2/5 cup (100 g) tomato puree
- 2 large liba or pita breads
- 1 red onion
- 4/5 cup (24 g) chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 2 teaspoons sumac salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Spread the tomato puree evenly over the surface of the breads.
- Peel and slice the red onion. In a bowl, mix the sliced onion with the chopped parsley, sumac, and salt until well combined.
- Sprinkle the onion and parsley mixture over the tomato puree-covered breads, ensuring an even distribution.
- Cut the prepared breads into pizza slices or desired shapes.
- The bread can be served as an accompaniment with grilled dishes. Alternatively, if you prefer a warm option, you can bake the pizzas briefly in the oven until the bread is heated through and the toppings are slightly melted.
