Nothing beats the smooth flavor of peanut butter combined with icy cold
cream. This popular favorite is the perfect filling for chocolate ice cream
sandwiches or a layered ice cream pie.
Ingredients:

- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups half and half
- ¾ cups heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- YIELD:1 QUART
- Peanut Butter:
- Natural peanut butter is not advised for ice cream recipes.
- When combined with other ingredients, natural peanut butter will release much of its oil.
- It is best to stick with commercial brands for your ice cream making.
Instructions:

- Combine all ingredients in the food processor and purée until very smooth.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours or overnight.
- Once chilled, add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
