INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) heavy cream
- 3 1/2 tbsp. (50 g) sugar
- 1 sheet (1/5 oz.) gelatin
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a saucepan, bring the milk, cream and sugar to a boil.
- Meanwhile, soak the gelatin in a bowl of cold water.
- Squeeze the gelatin out and add it to the milk mixture.
- Stir well, taking care to avoid froth forming.
- Pour the mixture into individual molds.
- Refrigerate for several hours.
- Unmold the panna cotta and serve.
- Try garnishing with a chocolate or caramel sauce, or with a fruit sauce made with strawberries, kiwis, or pears.
- Alternatively, sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts or pistachios.
