INGREDIENTS:
- 5 ounces rice vermicelli
- 3 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 8 chili pods
- 3 ounces pork loin, cut into thin strips
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1½ ounces ham
- 2 diced green onions
- ¼ cup sliced cabbage, cut into thin strips
- ¼ cup sliced shiitake mushroom
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon sesame oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Soak the rice vermicelli in very hot water for 1 hour.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, then add the soaked vermicelli and boil for 1 minute.
- Rinse the cooked vermicelli under warm water for 1 minute, then drain well. Mix the vermicelli with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Heat a wok over high heat for 1–2 minutes, until it begins to smoke.
- Add the remaining vegetable oil to the wok, followed by the chili pods and pork strips. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes, until the pork is almost cooked through.
