INGREDIENTS: YIELD: 1 QUART
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup prepared lemonade
- ¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan, and stir over medium heat until all of the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool; combine with the lemonade and lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate until cool.
- Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
Additional information:
- Lemonade stands were first set up by a shopkeeper in New York City in 1879, and they became so popular that the police had to intervene when they blocked sidewalk traffic.
