Kim’s Crockpot Beef Stew

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 lbs stew meat or beef round cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 4 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms
  • Dash of ground ginger
  • 5 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup water

PREPARATION:

  1. Combine all ingredients in the crockpot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.
  3. If you would like thicker gravy, add a little corn starch paste or flour when you combine the ingredients.
  4. Serve over hot cooked egg noodles or rice.
  5. You can add potatoes, carrots and experiment with the seasonings.
  6. Serves 6.
