  • 1 (15-ounce) package tofu, firm or extra-firm
  • Cooking oil spray (sunflower, safflower, or refined coconut)
  • Asian Spicy Sweet Sauce, optional

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine chickpea flour, arrowroot (or cornstarch), sea salt, granulated garlic, and freshly grated black pepper. Stir well to create the coating mixture.
  2. Cut the tofu into evenly sized cubes and place them in the coating mixture. Toss well to ensure even coating. Spray the tofu cubes with cooking oil and toss again to help the coating adhere.

Cooking:

  1. Preheat the air fryer according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Grease the air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Arrange the coated tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
