Make this maple-syrup-coated, brown-sugar-crusted bacon and then keep it warm while the eggs bake.

SERVES: 2

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 2 Tbs. plus 1 tsp. pure maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. light brown sugar

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Arrange the bacon slices on a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle both sides of the bacon with the maple syrup.
  4. Sprinkle both sides of the bacon evenly with the brown sugar.
  5. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until the bacon is browned and crisp.
  6. Keep the bacon warm while the eggs bake.
