INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 lbs stew meat or beef round cut in 1-inch cubes
- 4 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms
- Dash of ground ginger
- 5 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water
PREPARATION:
- Combine all ingredients in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.
- If you would like thicker gravy, add a little corn starch paste or flour when you combine the ingredients.
- Serve over hot cooked egg noodles or rice.
- You can add potatoes, carrots and experiment with the seasonings.
- Serves 6.
