Just as light and fluffy as regular royal icing, this vegan version is egg-free.

MAKES: about ½ cup

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup icing sugar, sifted
  • 1 Tbsp almond milk or water
  • 2 tsp white corn syrup
  • ¼ tsp almond extract

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the icing sugar and almond milk until smooth.
  2. Beat in the corn syrup and almond extract until the icing is smooth and glossy.
  3. If the icing is too thick, beat in a little more water ¼ teaspoon at a time.

 

CHANGE IT UP:

  • Substitute your favourite flavouring—we like rum extract or rose water—for the almond extract.
