Yield: 4–6 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 7–9 minutes
Total Time: 27–29 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 new potatoes, boiled in their jackets
  • ½ cup vinaigrette dressing, plus 2 tablespoons
  • ½ pound fresh green beans, cut into half-inch pieces and steamed
  • 1 tablespoon Herbes de Provence
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallots
  • 1½ tablespoons tarragon vinegar
  • 4 tuna steaks, each ¾-inch thick, about 1 pound
  • Salt and pepper

Salad

  • 8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 12 grape tomatoes, halved lengthwise
  • ½ cup pitted olives (black, green, nicoise, or combination)
  • 2 boiled eggs, peeled and halved lengthwise

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Begin by artfully crafting the base of our Tuna Platter. Quarter the boiled potatoes and toss them with 1 tablespoon of the vinaigrette dressing. Set them aside.
  2. Moving on to the vibrant green beans, toss the freshly steamed halves with the remaining tablespoon of vinaigrette dressing. These warm ingredients await their place on the platter while you prepare the star of the dish tuna.
  3. In a harmonious blend of flavors, mix the Herbes de Provence, minced shallots, and tarragon vinegar. Rub this exquisite mixture into all sides of the tuna steaks. Season the tuna with salt and pepper to your liking.
  4. With your air fryer preheated to 390°F, cook the tuna steaks for 7 minutes, checking their doneness. If needed, allow them to cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until the tuna’s center is barely pink.
  5. As the tuna cooks, spread the freshly chopped romaine lettuce over a generous platter, setting the stage for the artistic arrangement.
  6. Once the tuna is ready, slice the steaks into ½-inch pieces and arrange them majestically at the center of the lettuce-covered platter.
  7. To complete the composition, artfully place the remaining ingredients the warm potatoes and green beans, halved grape tomatoes, pitted olives, and boiled egg halves around the tuna. The platter is now an edible canvas awaiting the final touches.
