  • ½ teaspoon finely diced red bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon Tabasco
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a saucepan over high heat, combine all of the ingredients.
  2. Use a whisk to blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to simmer.
  4. Simmer the sauce uncovered for 30–45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  6. If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can cook it for a bit longer. On the other hand, if the sauce becomes too thick, you can thin it out by adding more vinegar.
