SERVES: 3–4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 strips of diced bacon
  • 1 (16-ounce) can of plain refried beans
  • 1 (1.25-ounce) package of taco seasoning
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup guacamole
  • 1/3 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons finely sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons sliced black olives

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a skillet, fry the diced bacon until crispy. Add the can of plain refried beans to the skillet and cook them together with the bacon and drippings. Stir frequently and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the taco seasoning with sour cream until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Place the cooked refried beans on a platter and spread them evenly, creating a layer that is approximately 1 inch thick.
  4. Top the refried beans with ½ cup of shredded Cheddar cheese, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
  5. Spread ½ cup of the taco-seasoned sour cream mixture over the cheese layer.
  6. Add a layer of ¾ cup of guacamole on top of the sour cream mixture.
  7. Sprinkle the diced tomatoes, finely sliced green onions, and sliced black olives over the guacamole layer.
  8. Finally, garnish the dip with ¼ cup of shredded Cheddar cheese.
