Try serving this decadent sorbet in a wine glass, topped with equal parts white wine. You’ll be the hit of any social event.
INGREDIENTS: YIELD: 1 QUART
- 4 pounds white grapes
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- ¼ cup sparkling white grape juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Wash and halve the grapes, and combine with the water in a large pot over medium heat.
- Stirring occasionally, cook the grapes until soft and liquidized. Remove from heat.
- Press the grapes through a mesh strainer to remove the seeds and skins.
- Add the corn syrup and sparkling juice to the grape mixture, and chill in the refrigerator until cool.
- Add to an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
Experiment! Instead of adding plain water to your homemade grape juice concentrate, consider using sparkling water. The fizz is intoxicating and fun!
