SERVINGS: 10
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 slices Pancetta bacon
- 2 Frigo string Provolone cheese (or Mozzarella, Kasseri, Emmental…)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil for frying
- Toothpicks
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the coconut oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- Cut the Provolone cheese sticks in half. Wrap each half with a slice of Pancetta bacon, securing the ends with a toothpick.
- Carefully drop the bacon-wrapped cheese sticks into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the bacon.
- Using a slotted spoon or tongs, remove the Pancetta-wrapped Provolone sticks from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and cool for a few minutes.
- Once cooled slightly, remove the toothpicks and serve the Pancetta-wrapped Provolone sticks as a delicious appetizer or snack.
