SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

  • Whipped Cream: Serve a slice of the cake with a dollop of freshly whipped cream on top. The creamy texture and subtle sweetness of the whipped cream complement the warm flavors of the ginger cake.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream: Pair a warm slice of No Butter Ginger Cake with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. The contrast of temperatures and flavors creates a delightful dessert combination.
  • Citrus Sauce: Drizzle a tangy citrus sauce over the cake to add a refreshing twist. You can make a simple sauce by combining freshly squeezed lemon or orange juice with a bit of sugar, then heating it gently until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Fresh Fruit: Serve the cake with a side of fresh fruit, such as sliced oranges, berries, or poached pears. The vibrant colors and natural sweetness of the fruit provide a lovely contrast to the spicy ginger flavors.
  • Dusting of Powdered Sugar: Before serving, lightly dust the cake with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. This adds a touch of elegance and enhances the visual appeal of the cake.
