McDonald’s currently serves only two types of bagel sandwiches. Since you are making them at home, you can put whatever you like on them such as ham, bacon, or sausage and switch the cheese to Monterey jack or Swiss.
McDonald’s Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel Sandwich is a popular breakfast item that combines savory flavors and satisfying textures to create a delicious morning meal. This sandwich features a combination of ingredients that work together to deliver a hearty and flavorful experience.
The star of the sandwich is the tender steak patty, which is made from beef and cut into two pieces. The steak is marinated in Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and minced onion, adding a rich and savory taste to the overall sandwich. It is then cooked on a grill, such as a George Foreman indoor grill, until it reaches the desired level of doneness.
To complete the sandwich, a split bagel is used as the base. The bagel is buttered and toasted on the grill, providing a warm and crispy texture that contrasts well with the other ingredients. The bagel’s chewiness adds to the overall enjoyment of the sandwich.
Next, scrambled eggs are cooked separately and folded into a half-moon shape resembling an omelette. These fluffy eggs add a creamy and comforting element to the sandwich, providing a neutral base that allows the other flavors to shine.
Slices of American cheese are added to melt over the steak and eggs, contributing a creamy and slightly tangy taste that complements the savory components of the sandwich. The melted cheese adds a rich and gooey texture, enhancing the overall mouthfeel of each bite.
The assembled sandwich consists of the steak patty placed on the bottom half of the toasted bagel. The folded eggs are added on top of the steak, followed by a slice of American cheese. The other half of the bagel is then placed on top to complete the sandwich.
