FOR TRADITIONAL BARBECUE, CONTEMPORARY SMOKED FOOD, & GRILLED DISHES

You can’t have a bunch of barbecue sauces without Southern soft drinks included in the ingredients. Paint this mixture on ribs or chops while they are smoking, or just before chops or tenderloin come off the grill. You’ll also find it amazingly good on smoked halved softball-size sweet onions.

Dr Pepper Glaze is a sweet and tangy sauce that brings a delightful twist to various dishes, especially pork. The main star of this glaze is the iconic Dr Pepper soda, known for its distinct blend of flavors. When combined with A.1. Original steak sauce, Dijon mustard, and other ingredients, it creates a unique and delicious blend that perfectly complements pork’s savory taste.

The sweetness of the Dr Pepper soda and corn syrup provides a pleasant contrast to the savory elements of the steak sauce and mustard. The addition of unsalted butter adds a rich and velvety texture to the glaze, making it glossy and easy to spread over the meat. The touch of black pepper enhances the overall flavor profile, adding a hint of warmth and depth.

The glaze is quick and straightforward to prepare, requiring only a short cooking time to meld the flavors together. Once it’s ready, it can be generously brushed over pork cuts during the cooking process, creating a flavorful and glossy exterior. Whether you’re grilling, roasting, or pan-frying pork, this Dr Pepper glaze is a versatile accompaniment that can elevate your dishes to a whole new level of deliciousness.

Keep any leftover glaze stored in the refrigerator, and you can continue to enjoy its delightful taste for weeks. Its versatility extends beyond pork, making it a wonderful addition to other meats or even as a glaze for vegetables and tofu. With its unique combination of flavors and ease of preparation, the Dr Pepper Glaze is sure to become a favorite in your kitchen and a hit at the dining table.
