  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes foamy and frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter and eggs. Add the yeast mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the filling.
