This will bring back memories of grape juice at snack time when you were a kid. Ah, the joys of childhood!

INGREDIENTS: YIELD: 1 QUART

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1¼ cups 100% Concord grape juice
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • Concord Grapes: The Concord grape was created by Ephraim Wales Bull in 1849, through experimentation with native grape seeds. Growers cherish it for its robust and pleasing flavor. These grapes make a delicious juice, and many bakers are opting to use it as a base for the newly popular Concord grape pie.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine everything into a blender, and process for about 30 seconds. Refrigerate 4 hours to overnight.
  2. Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
