YIELDS: 1 PIE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Oreo cookie crust
- 1 (6-ounce) package Heath Bits
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ gallon vanilla ice cream
- 1/3 cup chocolate fudge topping
- 1/3 cup caramel topping
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Begin by freezing the Oreo cookie crust, Heath bits, and chocolate chips separately. Once frozen, chop the Heath bits and chocolate chips in a food processor until they become fine pieces. Return the processed bits and chips to the freezer.
- Soften the vanilla ice cream until it becomes workable, ensuring that the ice cream is just soft enough to incorporate the Heath bits and chocolate chips without melting. Be careful not to over-soften the ice cream.
- Transfer the softened ice cream to a chilled mixing bowl and add the processed Heath bits and chocolate chips. Stir and mix well to evenly distribute the bits throughout the ice cream.
- Pour the ice cream mixture into the frozen Oreo cookie crust. Spread it out evenly and smooth the top. Place the pie back in the freezer and allow it to refreeze for 2–3 hours until it becomes firm.
- In the meantime, prepare the toppings. Take 1/3 cup of chocolate fudge topping and 1/3 cup of caramel sauce and place them in two separate microwave-safe bowls. Heat both bowls in the microwave on medium heat for 1–2 minutes or until the sauces slightly melt and become easier to drizzle.
- After the pie has chilled for 2–3 hours, remove it from the freezer. Drizzle the melted chocolate fudge topping and caramel sauce over the top of the pie, creating a beautiful and delicious topping.
- Return the pie to the freezer and let it freeze for an additional 2–3 hours or until it is completely firm.
