BANANA-COCONUT SMOOTHIE WITH CHOCOLATE AND ESPRESSO

This smoothie melds coffee, coconut, chocolate, and banana

MAKES ABOUT: 5 CUPS (4 TO 5 SERVINGS)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups plain unsweetened coconut milk beverage (not canned)
  • 2 1/2 cups mashed very ripe bananas (about 3 large)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. ADD all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  2. BLEND until smooth, about 1 minute.
  3. SERVE immediately.
