Benihana Hibachi Meat Marinade

This is a copycat of the Benihana Hibachi Steak, Shrimp, Chicken, or Scallops served at the restaurant.

Benihana Hibachi Meat Marinade is a flavorful blend of ingredients that adds a delicious touch to various types of meat. The marinade is made with grated apple, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, creating a combination of sweet, savory, and nutty flavors. This marinade is perfect for enhancing the taste and tenderness of meats like beef, chicken, shrimp, and scallops.

To prepare the marinade, simply mix the ingredients together in a small bowl. The grated apple adds a subtle hint of sweetness, while the soy sauce and garlic provide a savory umami flavor. The sesame oil and sesame seeds contribute a rich nuttiness that complements the meats perfectly.

Marinating the meat in this flavorful blend allows the flavors to penetrate the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish. It is recommended to marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop, but longer marinating times can intensify the taste.

Once marinated, the meat can be cooked on a frying pan or flat grill over high heat. Stir-fry the meat for a few minutes, ensuring it reaches the desired level of doneness. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the meat and personal preference.

The Benihana Hibachi Meat Marinade adds a delightful touch to any meal, creating a restaurant-style experience in the comfort of your own home. Enjoy the succulent and flavorful meat as a main dish or incorporate it into other recipes like stir-fries, rice bowls, or tacos. Experiment with different meat choices to suit your taste preferences and discover your favorite combinations.

VARIATIONS:

  • Spicy Marinade: If you prefer a spicy kick, add some chili flakes or a splash of hot sauce to the marinade. Adjust the amount according to your desired level of heat.
  • Citrus Twist: Enhance the tanginess of the marinade by adding a squeeze of fresh lime or lemon juice. The citrus flavor will add brightness to the marinade and complement the savory elements.
  • Ginger Infusion: Grate or mince some fresh ginger and add it to the marinade for a zesty and aromatic twist. Ginger pairs well with the other flavors in the marinade and adds a refreshing touch.
  • Honey Glaze: For a touch of sweetness, incorporate a tablespoon or two of honey into the marinade. It will add a caramelized and slightly sweet flavor to the meat when cooked.
