INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 1/2 cup peanut oil
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, combine the peanut oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, chopped green onions, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic cloves, sesame oil, ground ginger, paprika, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix them together until well blended. This marinade will be the key to infusing the salmon with delicious flavors.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets, making sure to coat them thoroughly on all sides. Ensure that each fillet is well-covered with the marinade, as it will help to tenderize the fish and enhance its taste.
  3. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and refrigerate the salmon fillets for a minimum of 2 hours, allowing them to marinate. For even more flavor, you can marinate the fillets for up to 24 hours. This will give the salmon ample time to absorb all the delicious flavors of the marinade.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent the salmon from sticking.
  5. Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Place the fillets directly on the grill grates, skin-side down if they have skin.
  6. Grill the salmon for approximately 4 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets. Be careful not to overcook the salmon, as it can become dry. The fish should be opaque and easily flake with a fork.
  7. Once the salmon is cooked to perfection, remove it from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter.
